Somos un gupo de décimo grado, que, como parte de los requisitos del curso de historia de Puerto Rico, hemos desarollado esta página Web. Con la misma queremos dar a conocer lo que somos como pueblo y como país. Al mismo tiempo, queremos darle una experiencia nítida y cómoda.
We are a tenth-grade group, which, as part of the requirements of the course of History of Puerto Rico, we have developed this website. With it, we want to make known how we are as people and as a country. At the same time, we want to give a clear and comfortable experience.
JUSTIFICACIÓN/ JUSTIFICATION
El grupo ‘Boricuas por dentro’ posee este nombre ya que la Isla de Puerto Rico solo es conocida por acontecimientos que marcan la historia grandemente y tienen el alcance de ser escuchadas en el mundo. Canciones como “Despacito”, victorias como la de Mónica Puig o las playas que La Isla del Encanto tiene “conforman” a Puerto Rico, pero hay más cosas que definen nuestra tierra querida, pero no son escuchadas. Nosotros haremos saber, mediante nuestra página web, cómo es la diversidad, cultura y el diario vivir de los puertorriqueños.
Según datos de El Nuevo Día, luego del éxito de Despacito, el interés de los turistas en visitar a Puerto Rico incrementó en un 45% desde que la canción alcanzó su punto máximo. No solo esto ayudó a que la economía inestable de la Isla se elevara, sino que también se escuchó en más lugares que quizás no se esperaba que se escuchara. Sin embargo, lo que escucharon sobre Puerto Rico quizás ha sido de sus atractivos turísticos más importantes. Por ejemplo: si le preguntas a un turista por una playa, te contestaría: “Crash Boat”, en Aguadilla, la bahía de Condado en San Juan, etc. Pero si le preguntas quiénes fueron los taínos, posiblemente no te podrá contestar. Cabe destacar que los indios taínos fueron los primeros habitantes en Puerto Rico, y compusieron parte de nuestra cultura. Sin embargo, este se ha desvanecido entre los turistas al pasar el tiempo.
Nuestra sociedad está llena de culturas y tradiciones que identifican nuestra manera de ser. Se compone de tres razas: taína, española y africana. De acuerdo a Ciencia Puerto Rico, la mezcla de estas tres razas causó que tengamos la comida, música y la mayoría de nombres de pueblos y ciudades que poseemos. También, recibimos la religión católica, gracias a los españoles, y la bomba y plena, gracias a los africanos. No obstante, algunas personas desconocen sobre nuestras raíces, lo que nos hace puertorriqueños, la esencia que nos distingue.
Puerto Rico va más allá de sus castillos antiguos, las calles adoquinadas o su crisis fiscal. Puerto Rico es su gente, su cultura, su diario vivir. También es su sazón criollo, sus maravillas escondidas y su historia enriquecida. Seremos una voz para lo menos escuchado en este país, esos lugares escondidos que ansían por ser escuchados. Esto es lo que intentaremos de demostrar al resto del mundo.
The group 'Boricuas por dentro' has this name since the Island of Puerto Rico is only known for events that mark the history greatly and have the reach of being heard in the world. However, some people do not know about our roots, what makes us Puerto Ricans, the essence that distinguishes us.
Puerto Rico goes beyond its ancient castles, cobbled streets or its fiscal crisis. Puerto Rico is its people, its culture, its daily life. It is also its sazón criollo, its hidden wonders, and its enriched history. We will be a voice for the least listened to in this country, those hidden places that yearn to be heard. This is what we will try to demonstrate to the rest of the world.

Misión
Nuestra misión es dar a conocer a personas de diferentes partes del mundo sobre Puerto Rico. Aunque la Isla es reconocida mundialmente por sus atracciones naturales, hay muchas otras cosas que ni el propio puertorriqueño conoce. Por tal razón, tenemos la tarea de ser la voz de las majestuosidades escondidas que nos distinguen como pueblo y país.
Visión
Queremos ver que, por medio de nuestra página, las personas que componen nuestro pueblo puedan enriquecerse con el contenido que ofrecemos en la misma.
